Evacuteer Leadership Training

  • Office 2803 Saint Philip Street New Orleans, LA, 70119 United States (map)

Are you a trained Evacuteer who:

  • Wakes up in the morning and runs through the day ahead of you, play by play, because you love processes like that?
  • Is detail-oriented, community service-minded, and flexible?
  • Constantly hears your friends and family comment on your awesome and amazing communication skills?
  • Wants to challenge yourself in a leadership role, so that you can be a resource of knowledge within your community?

If you answered "Yes" to at least one of the above questions, we think you have what it takes to become an Evacuteer Leader!

Our leadership team is truly the backbone of City-Assisted Evacuation. We rely on our leaders not only during a mandatory evacuation, but all throughout the year to help us conduct outreach and represent at various events in our community. We are the only New Orleans-based non-profit that advocates for hurricane preparedness year-round, and we're looking for bright, outgoing leaders like you to join our cause!

During this leadership training session we will go into greater detail to explain logistics management during City-Assisted Evacuation, problem solving, and the in's and out's of supervising other Evacuteers. We will also role-play through some scenarios to get you thinking critically about difficult situations that may arise in the event of an Evacuteer activation. Lunch and refreshments will be provided!

Prerequisite: You must have attended an introductory Evacuteer training session in the last two years before you are eligible to take leadership training. If you're not sure whether or not you are eligible to join our Teadership Team, please contact us! Click HERE to find an introductory training session near you.
