Join us! Evacuteer Introductory Training

  • Rosa F. Keller Library 4300 South Broad Avenue New Orleans, LA, 70125 United States (map)

Thousands of our neighbors may need help evacuating if a major storm comes our way. Evacuation volunteers (Evacuteers) assist with New Orleans’ public evacuation option, called City-Assisted Evacuation (CAE), to make sure that our residents are safe and out of harm's way!

We're neighbors helping neighbors- in the event of a mandatory evacuation in the City of New Orleans, Evacuteers serve to ensure that:

  • Families stay together,

  • Pets are evacuated with their people,

  • Everyone gets out to safe shelter, and

  • Everyone has the opportunity to come back home!

In this 1-hour training session you will be introduced to the history of and what we do, learn how CAE works, and the vital role that our volunteers play in ensuring that everyone who uses CAE is treated with respect and dignity.

Come out to the beautifully renovated Rosa F. Keller library in Broadmoor to find out what we're all about, and what YOU can do to help!
