Volunteer to participate in this year's evacuation exercise!

Every year, we partner with the New Orleans Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness (NOHSEP) and other local, state, and federal agencies to conduct an exercise of the City-Assisted Evacuation (CAE) plan. This is a great opportunity to refresh your knowledge of CAE, or simply better understand it through first-hand experience!

We're recruiting volunteers who will role-play as both evacuees and Evacuteers while we run through the CAE process, from the Evacuspot on to the central processing center downtown, and then over to the Louis Armstrong International Airport to simulate air evacuations. More details on event time/location coming soon!

You do not have to be a trained Evacuteer to participate- all are welcome to join us! You can sign up for an Evacuteer training session on site if you'd like to get more involved in the work we do to ensure the preparedness and safety of our residents throughout hurricane season!

New Orleans Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness Exercise

Join us for our first emergency preparedness exercise of the year!

Our partners in the New Orleans Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness (NOHSEP) need 200 volunteers to participate in a full-scale exercise simulating a complex parade attack on Friday, February 15th. Volunteers will be assigned various roles, including those who are wounded, deceased, or separated from family members.

Sign up to volunteer today, and please remember to share with your friends and co-workers- the more people we have involved, the better we're able to test our City's preparedness and response to these kinds of events!
